Notice of Open District 8 Director Position

Following the Director’s resignation, the District 8 Director seat is now available.

Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (“SSVEC”) is seeking for a qualified and committed member to serve on the SSVEC Board of Directors (“Board”) for District 8.

If you reside in District 8, in Sierra Vista, and are interested in serving on the Board, SSVEC encourages you to view the District 8 Director Opening Notice Letter at left. The selected candidate will complete the remainder of the term, which expires in or about April 2028.

The Director’s role involves crafting Board policies, setting long-term goals for SSVEC, and steering SSVEC’s overall direction. While the position is not salaried, Directors receive a daily fee and expense reimbursements for attending meetings.

Selected candidates will be invited for interviews tentatively scheduled for April 8, 2026. The applicant selected to fill the position must agree to review and certify compliance with SSVEC policies applicable to the Directorship, as well as submit to a background check.
