Election Notice
A director election is scheduled for Districts 3, 4, and 11 this year!
Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (“SSVEC”) is looking for qualified candidates to run for the SSVEC Board of Directors (“Board”) in Districts 3, 4, and 11. If you reside in District 3, 4, or 11 and are interested in serving on the Board, SSVEC encourages you to download the Interview Packet at left or visit any SSVEC business office location to pick up an Interview Packet. To identify your district, use the relevant map under the “Quick Docs” at left.
Interview Packets are available at left and at your local SSVEC business office.
Members interested in running for the Board must complete the Interview Packet materials and contact a member of the Nominating Committee (contact information located in relevant Election Notice Letter at left) to schedule an interview. SSVEC asks that you bring your completed Interview Packet to the Nominating Committee interview.
If you are unable to complete the Interview Packet by the time of your interview, the Nominating Committee may allow additional time to submit the Interview Packet. All candidates must have completed an Interview Packet and provide it to the Nominating Committee on or before March 26, 2026.
If you are unable to complete an interview, you can still run for the Board by completing a Petition Packet.
A nominating Petition Packet must be submitted in writing and contain the valid signatures of at least fifty (50) members who reside in your District. Petition Packets are available at left or at your local SSVEC business office. The Petition Packet must be returned to an SSVEC business office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026.
