Special Notice: SSVEC Annual Meeting Changes
Dear Fellow Members:
Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SSVEC) values our members and our top priority is the health and safety of our members and staff. While we are required to have the Annual Meeting of SSVEC for legal reasons, currently set to be held at Benson High School at 7 p.m. on April 23, we will be following federal, state, local, and school officials’ directives to limit public gatherings. We are urging you NOT to attend in person. Since we are following government guidelines, the only people that will allowed in the meeting room will be selected board and staff members.
We will be holding a short business meeting to establish a quorum, review and approve the minutes from last year’s Annual Meeting, announce the results of the elections and adjourn the meeting. Both the President’s and CEO’s reports, along with financial information on the Cooperative, will be available online.
As the Bylaws provide that all who vote in the Board elections count toward the Annual Meeting quorum requirement, please exercise your right to elect your representative to the Board of Directors by filling out and mailing your ballot. If you are in a district with an election you will receive a ballot by mail. We will be counting these mail ballots on April 22, 2020.
In terms of raffle prizes, to include a pickup truck, SSVEC will be entering all current members in a drawing, and will draw the winners electronically on May 1, 2020.
